after all the tiny little screws were unfastened
i couldn’t put the stars together again.

the sky was still going round.
it’s all working the way it did before.

there were pieces left over
so you put them in your pocket.

we keep using these extra little bits—
oh, we’ll be in trouble!

but our pockets
are full of stars!
