EDITORS


Lytton Bell

Lytton Bell has published five books, most recently Body Image. She has won eight poetry contests and has been the featured reader at many California literary venues. Her sixth book is forthcoming in 2017. Her work has appeared in over six dozen publications. She is a founding member of the poetry performance troupe Poetica Erotica. As a teenager, Lytton won a scholarship to the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts, where she studied with Deb Burnham and Len Roberts. Lytton graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College. She is a civil servant by day.

Josh Fernandez

Josh Fernandez is a freelance writer for Spin.com, Boulder Weekly, San Antonio Current and the Sacramento News and Review. His poetry is widely published, and he continues to be a sought after reader and speaker – often asked to talk about ethnic diversity, abuse and addiction. Fernandez was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize for his poem "The Last Thing He Said." His collection of poems, Spare Parts and Dismemberment, is available from R.L. Crow.

Cynthia Linville (Managing Editor/Designer)

Cynthia Linville's work has appeared in many publications and several anthologies. Her two poetry collections, The Lost Thing and Out of Reach, are available from Cold River Press. Her poem "I am Fortune's Ungraceful Daughter" was nominated for a Pushcart in 2012. Linville has taught in the English Department at California State University, Sacramento since 2000. A music aficionado with a theater background, she is often out and about supporting the arts, and she occasionally appears with musicians, including Victor Krummencher of Camper Van Beethoven.

Katy Brown

Katy Brown, a resident of Davis, California, has won awards in The Ina Coolbrith Circle, The Berkeley Poets Dinner, and California Federation of Chaparral Poets competitions. She has had poems in Glass Art Magazine, Wee Wisdom, Daily Word, Harpstrings, and Song of the San Joaquin among others. Her workbook, Poetry Potions, was used in schools for nearly twenty years and is being released in a digital format. Her other writing credits include automobile humor, greeting cards, a multiple-ending book, and a series of short mysteries for young readers. She is a regular contributor to Rattlesnake Press publications

Lynn Crounse

Lynn Crounse is an explorer whose inspiration comes from all directions and sources. She says: "I make do with what crosses my path. I love the lives and places I encounter and document the world as I see it, striving only to capture the beauty in all of my subjects." She also does assignment and commercial photography work. She is currently based in Virginia but travels frequently. You can view more of her work here.

David Dane

David Dane lives between Camp Verde, Arizona and the Nicatous Lodge in Maine. An avid outdoorsman, he tends to his property and enjoys life. He studied poetry under Charles Simic at the UNH where he received his MA in writing. His work has appeared in Quarterly West Journal and in other publications.

Holly Day

Holly Day has taught writing classes at the Loft Literary Center in Minnesota since 2000. Her published books include Music Theory for Dummies, Music Composition for Dummies, Guitar All-in-One for Dummies, Piano All-in-One for Dummies, Walking Twin Cities, Insider's Guide to the Twin Cities, Nordeast Minneapolis: A History, and The Book Of, while her poetry has recently appeared in New Ohio Review, SLAB, and Gargoyle. Her newest poetry book, Ugly Girl, just came out from Shoe Music Press.

Christian DeLaO

Christian DeLaO is a multi-media artist who lives in Sacramento. He plays with pinhole cameras as small as a Coke can and as large as a trash can. Christian works with Polaroids and a variety of other cameras and photographic processing, film and digital. His recent focus has been on medium- and large-scale installation art.

Darren C. Demaree

Darren C. Demaree is the author is the author of five poetry collections, most recently The Nineteen Steps Between Us available from After the Pause Press. He is the Managing Editor of the Best of the Net Anthology and Ovenbird Poetry. He is currently living in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and children.

Mitchell Krockmalnik Grabois

Mitchell Krockmalnik Grabois has had over a thousand of his poems and fictions appear in literary magazines in the U.S. and abroad. He has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, The Best of the Net, and Queen's Ferry Press Best Small Fictions for work published in 2011 through 2015. His novel, Two-Headed Dog, based on his work as a clinical psychologist in a state hospital, is available from Kindle and Nook, or as a print edition. He lives in Denver.

Robert Lee Haycock

Robert Lee Haycock grew up in California's Santa Clara Valley, "The Valley of Heart's Delight," and now resides in Antioch, California, "The Gateway to the Delta." Robert has been an art handler at the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum and the California Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco since 1988.

Baxter Jackson

Baxter Jackson is an English Teacher at the Nizwa College of Applied Sciences in Oman. When he's not teaching, he enjoys exploring his surroundings, traveling in the Middle East and freelance writing. His work has appeared in Lonely Planet and Matador Travel.

Michael Lee Johnson

Michael Lee Johnson lived ten years in Canada during the Vietnam era. Today he is a poet, freelance writer, amateur photographer, and small business owner in Itasca, Illinois. Nominated for two Pushcarts awards poetry, 2015, Mr. Johnson has published in more than 875 small press magazines online and in print. His poems have appeared in 27 countries as of this date. He edits, publishes ten different poetry sites. He also has 93 poetry videos on YouTube.

Erren Geraud Kelly

Erren Geraud Kelly has been writing for 25 years and has over 100 pieces in publications such as Hiram Poetry Review, Mudfish, Poetry Magazine (online), Ceremony, Cactus Heart, Similar Peaks, Gloom Cupboard, and Poetry Salzburg. His work has appeared in several anthologies, including In Our Own Words: Generation X, Fertile Ground, and Beyond The Frontier. His chapbook, Disturbing The Peace is available from Night Ballet Press. Mr. Kelly received his B.A. degree in English-Creative Writing from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and currently lives in Seattle.

David Lawrence

David Lawrence has published over a thousand poems. His latest book Lane Changes is available from Four Way Books. He holds a Ph.D. and has been a professional boxer and a CEO. He has been writing his whole life.

Adam Phillips

Adam Phillips works in Boise, teaching at-risk junior high kids how to write, read, and dominate on the basketball court. He frequently escapes to Rockaway Beach on the Oregon Coast. His work has appeared in Blue Monday Review, Scarborough Fair, Blotterature, upstreet, Shark Pack, and From Sac. He recently signed a book contract for his first novel and feels outrageously lucky to have a disproportionately fantastic wife and two small bizarre sons.

Timothy Pilgrim

Timothy Pilgrim, a Northwest poet and emeritus associate professor of journalism at Western Washington University, has published over 300 poems — with acceptances by dozens of journals such as Seattle Review, Windfall, Cirque, San Pedro River Review, and Third Wednesday. He is author of Mapping Water (recently released from Flying Trout Press) and co-author of Bellingham Poems. His work can be found at TimothyPilgrim.org.

Ruben Briseno Reveles

Ruben's life as a photographer began when he visited Mexico in search of his roots. He wanted to capture the experience so he could share it with family members who were unable to accompany him on his journey. And he fell in love with the lens and all that it reveals.

David Thornbrugh

David Thornbrugh has been writing and publishing poetry since the mid-seventies, often stimulated by traveling and living in Asia and Europe. He currently resides in Seattle, where he makes a living as an online editor of just about every form of writing other than poetry. He has been widely published both on and offline and draws sustenance from the community of poets in local open mic venues.

Viola Weinberg

Viola Weinberg was the first Poet Laureate of Sacramento, and is a Glenna Luschei Distinguished Poet. She is a founding member of the Tough Old Broads of poetry. Author of eight books of poetry, one bus placard and many poems that have appeared in anthologies and magazines, she has continued to write, publish and read everywhere from Kazakhstan to California. Weinberg lives in rural Sonoma County in Northern California.

Brent Wiggans

Brent Wiggans is a charter school records wrangler by day. By night, he can be found tinkering in the recording studio or pounding drums on a stage. He's married to Michelle, a dazzler by all accounts that matter.
