Lee Nisbet was born in Lancaster, South Carolina in 1954. He moved to San Francisco in 1976 where he worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He now lives in Corte Madre, California and spends most days working on art projects and volunteering at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in Novato California.
